This sweet ball gown is made with soft butter like pale sea foam colored sateen, a blush colored dupioni silk and an abundance of laces, and a breathtaking embroidered organza from Britex in San Francisco.
The bodice is detailed with blush silk, and a pale sea foam colored lace that is so delicate it looks like it's actually made for a doll of this size! Her cuffs are made from the same silk and lace trim.
The ball gown's skirt hem is just under a yard around! It's an enormous and lush gown! The base fabric of this gown is a poly based sateen and it is like spun butter, it's so soft. The wonderful embroidered organza along the bottom of the dress is from Britex. The petals of the flowers are sky blue and soft green stems. The organza itself has a tiny hint of a shimmer, but it is not a shimmery fabric that takes away from the dress at all, it's just a tiny bit. It's topped with the blushed silk and a tiny strip of white lace.
She has a long beautiful white shawl that has finished edges with the same tiny white lace that is on the skirt of the ball gown.
This fashion comes with a wonderful ALMOST hidden gem... a petticoat! The petticoat is made from white muslin and trimmed in several laces. At the bottom is a wide a soft lace that matches the shawl and peeks out of the bottom of the long ball gown... next is a ribbon of blush silk with a bow at the back, then three layers of a one inch lace topped with one of my favorite finds.... a vintage lace I happened upon. It's the sweetest lace! It's a scalloped sea foam color with tiny embroidery on it!
The earrings and necklace czech glass beads in pale pink, pearl seed beads and the tiniest seed beads in clear.
